Woman calls police after McDonald's take too long to cook her order

Leesa Smith |

This is one hangry woman!

This woman must’ve been pretty damn hungry when she went through Macca’s drive thru on Friday night in Waco, Texas.

As much as the fast food chain usually pumps out meals in record time – this cranky customer claims she did not get her chicken nuggets fast enough. So, what does one do at a time of such crisis?

Call the folk in blue of course…

Sergeant Swanton, a spokesman for the Waco Police Department, was so incredulous about the “emergency” call that he took to their Facebook page to tell one and all:

“Yes it happens!! We actually had the chicken nugget call last night! Officers called to a restaurant drive-thru because a customer was mad her nuggets didn’t get cooked quick enough and why she couldn’t get them for free.
Yes we went on this call. No…she did not get them for free. Yes we actually tied up two officers on this call.
Waco PD, where life is never normal.

As it so happens - the officers were already on the way because the hangry woman had parked herself in the drive thru and refused to move - creating more hangry customers piling up behind her.

According to KWTX, the woman was given her money back and ordered to leave — without any nuggets.

The woman’s crazy chicken nugget yarn isn’t the first time the fried food has made the news recently.

A year of free chicken nuggets please!

Carter Wilkerson, a 16-year-old boy from Nevada, became the owner of the most retweeted tweet in history last month after he begged Twitter for some vital nugget help.

Carter had asked fast food restaurant Wendy’s how many retweets he’d need for a year of free chicken nuggets, they gave him an unobtainable figure of 18 million.

Little did the chain realise how quickly #nuggsforcarter would catch on. His tweet overtook Ellen DeGeneres’ 2014 Oscars selfie in May after he scored 3.6 million retweets.

While the high school teen was far from the 18 million, Wendy’s was still floored by the incredible figure and came through with the promised nuggets, as well as $US100,000 for an adoption foundation in the US.
